Account Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, implement, and manage the account strategy focused on share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Your daily activities will include coordinating sales efforts, monitoring current projects, and resolving specific customer issues. You will also contribute insights on market price trends and tendencies.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading the development and execution of the account plan and growth initiatives for Statements of Work.
  2. Understanding key business drivers and emerging risks (such as sustainability, digitalization, cybersecurity) affecting the global customer’s business, and translating these into impacts and opportunities for ABB.
  3. Participating in the formulation of sales strategies and developing both short-term and long-term business plans for the customer.
  4. Setting sales targets, providing input on market pricing, monitoring competitors’ activities, and ensuring appropriate response strategies are in place.

Qualifications for the role
  • Proven expertise in managing customer accounts and sales strategies.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM and sales tools; experience with Salesforce (SFDC) is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical, sales, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Degree in Engineering or a related technical field is advantageous.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
