Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. in Catania, Italy is seeking a brilliant Bachelor student in Electronics for a six-month internship to advance research and development in analog and mixed-signal layout for Power Management ICs and Smart Power Stages in High-Performance Computing.

You will join the Performance Computing Power team, working with experienced engineers and mentors who provide guidance while you learn Cadence, Calibre, and VXL tools, ensuring layout quality and adherence to specifications.

Qualifications

• Basic electronics knowledge of CMOS and bipolar transistors, diodes, resistors, capacitors, inductors.
• Knowledge of voltage/current references, current mirrors, amplifiers, comparators, oscillators and digital gates; Cadence familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Layout conception of analog and mixed-signal circuit blocks.
• Study all steps of layout conception from floor plan, routing, checks, extraction.
• Study different layout techniques and apply them with matching constraints and electromigration considerations.
• Familiarize with layout tools (Cadence, Calibre, VXL).
• Ensure layout quality and compliance with specifications.
