Job summary

Cattaneo Zanetto Pomposo & Co. is seeking a junior Analyst to monitor legislative, regulatory and policy developments across key Italian government bodies and regional authorities in Lazio and Rome.

You will develop analysis reports, memos and position papers for clients under the supervision of the Partner heading the practice. This paid internship offers potential for full-time employment upon successful performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Law, Economics or Political Science.
• Public Affairs specialization is a plus.
• Fluent English and fluent Italian.
• Strong knowledge of Italian regulatory processes.
• EU regulatory knowledge is a plus.

Job description

The Analyst will support the professionals of the firm in monitoring legislative, regulatory and policy developments across key Italian government bodies and regulatory authorities, as well as relevant regions in Italy. The Analyst will develop analysis reports, memos and position papers for the firm's clients, together with their supervisor. The Analyst will work closely with the Partner heading the practice within the firm.

This is a paid internship position with a monthly allowance of €800, with full-time employment opportunity.

Requirements include:

• Excellent academic background. Degree in Law, Economics or Political Science required;
• Public Affairs specialization is a further advantage;
• Fluent English (required) as well as fluent Italian;
• Ability to translate between the specialist languages of business and politics;
• Detailed knowledge of Italian regulatory and legislative processes;
• Knowledge of EU regulatory and legislative processes is a further advantage.

The role requires analytical skills, ability to communicate effectively both in writing and in person, ability to work as a professional, to meet strict deadlines and possibly work under pressure.
