Are you passionate about logistics and looking for an exciting opportunity to grow your career? We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Air Logistics Operational Care Specialist to join our vibrant Milan office.

As an Operational Care Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely coordination of import and export shipments, meeting customer transit time expectations. You will work within the Operational Care Centre, overseeing transport activities by making necessary bookings with our partners and gateways, generating required documentation, and closely monitoring each shipment, including handling any deviations. Additionally, you will collaborate with Customer Care Specialists to ensure that all specific requirements, such as transit times, carrier selection, and routings, are met.

How you create impact

• Manage and execute all operational activities with accuracy and timeliness, ensuring customer deliverables are fulfilled and minimizing overdue tasks.
• Adhere to the communication protocol for effective stakeholder interactions.
• Track and monitor shipments, ensuring timely updates in Kuehne+Nagel systems, including financial data like costs, and handling any deviations.
• Address conflicts or deviations in CCL instructions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, routing, transit times, and rates.
• Collaborate with partners, suppliers, gateways, warehouses, customs teams, and external parties as needed.
• Monitor carrier and partner performance, escalating issues when commitments are not met.
• Partner with the Optimization Team to enhance process execution, maximize system utilization, and minimize manual interventions.

Qualifications

• Experience in coordinating shipments, handling documentation in the freight forwarding industry.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Able to adapt and remain solution-oriented in high-pressure situations.
• Comfortable using various software tools and technology to streamline tasks and improve efficiency.
• Build positive working relationships, fostering a cooperative environment.
• Fluent in both Italian and English.
