RE:LAB s.r.l. is seeking an AI & Machine Learning Engineer to contribute to the research and development of intelligent software solutions.

The role focuses on design, experimentation, and implementation of AI-based applications across machine learning, generative AI, multimodal systems, and edge computing. You will work on prototypes and production-ready solutions, collaborating with software engineering, HMI, and research teams to translate emerging AI technologies into concrete

Competenze

• Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related technical fields.
• Strong knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning principles.
• Strong programming skills, particularly in Python.
• Familiarity with modern AI frameworks and software development methodologies.

Position

To strengthen our R&D deparment and innovation activities, we are looking for an AI & Machine Learning Engineer to contribute to the research and development of intelligent software solutions.

The role focuses on the design, experimentation, and implementation of AI-based applications, working across areas such as machine learning, generative AI, multimodal systems, and edge computing.

We are looking for a curious and technically motivated engineer who is interested in exploring emerging AI technologies and translating them into concrete applications and working prototypes.

Main Activities

• Design and develop AI and Machine Learning solutions for research and industrial applications.
• Contribute to the development of applications based on Large Language Models and Generative AI.
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions and knowledge-based AI systems.
• Explore and develop multimodal applications combining different types of data and inputs.
• Contribute to the deployment and optimization of AI models for edge and resource-constrained environments.
• Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts to evaluate emerging AI technologies.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related technical fields.
• Good knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning principles.
• Strong programming skills, particularly in Python.
• Familiarity with modern AI frameworks and software development methodologies.
• Understanding of data processing, model evaluation, and experimentation workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Curiosity toward emerging technologies and research-driven development.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI.
• Knowledge of RAG architectures, embeddings, vector databases, and information retrieval.
• Familiarity with multimodal AI, computer vision, speech, or natural language processing.
• Experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, or similar.
• Familiarity with edge AI, model optimization, or deployment on embedded and resource-constrained platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, or containerized environments.
• Academic, research, or professional experience involving innovative AI applications.

Other information

Schedule: Full- time, 40 hours per week.
