Lawer S.p.A. is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer to develop and implement AI projects across industrial processes.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical requirements and to advance our automation products with state-of-the-art AI capabilities. The role focuses on programmatic AI integration, pilot projects, PoCs, and industrialization, with a strong emphasis on data analytics, MLOps, and effective communication with both technical and

Competenze

• Degree in Engineering or similar field.
• 3+ years Python programming experience.
• Experience with LLMs and modern AI tools (prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases, agent frameworks).
• Knowledge of AI/ML/Data Analytics.
• Understanding of industrial, production and automation processes.
• Ability to interface with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Analytical, structured, and result-oriented.

Descrizione del lavoro

Development and implementation of various AI solutions / projects including:

• Technical support and after sales / assistance
• Process optimization
• Quality control
• Predictive maintenance
• Document management and knowledge management
• Collaboration in introducing new AI capabilities into the company's automation products and solutions
• Manage pilot projects, proof of concept and industrialization of the solutions developed
• Translating operational and business needs into technical requirements
• Collaborate in the analysis of business, technical and production processes to identify opportunities for AI application
• Support the internal adoption of AI tools, contributing to the dissemination of expertise and good practices

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Degree in Engineering (automation, computer science, electronics, mechanics, management or similar) or similar degrees;
• Solid programming foundation with Python or equivalent (3+ years)
• Practical experience in interface and developments with LLMs and modern AI tools — prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases and agent frameworks.
• Knowledge or work experience in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning / Data Analytics
• Good ability to understand industrial, production and automation processes
• Ability to interface with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Analytical, structured and result-oriented approach

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Experience adopting AI assistants for software/project development or team productivity tools
• Experience integrating data from different sources (APIs, databases, structured and unstructured data)
• Experience with computer vision for inspection or quality control
• Experience of MLOps/deployment (Docker, CI/CD, cloud platforms, model serving)
• Familiarity with industrial / OT environments (PLC, SCADA, MES, IIoT, OPC-UA).
