Overview

The ideal candidate as an AI Data Engineer in NTT DATA Gov & Tech will have a solid Generative AI hands-on capability (preferably on Azure/GCP and on-premise GenAI architecture and MLops), mathematical background, experience working on a range of classification, informational retrieval, clustering, and optimization problems, establishing scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analysis, model development, model validation and model implementation. The Senior AI Data Engineer will work alongside experienced Data Scientists, Data and ML Engineers to identify business opportunities, design and create new data pipelines from scratch, from experiments to deploying them in production. He/She will be responsible for multiple projects, leading the ML Engineers and connecting with the stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects and connect with stakeholders, coordinating with ML Engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Design, build and deploy data pipelines from experiments to production.
• Establish scalable, automated processes for large-scale data analysis, model development, validation and deployment.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers and ML Engineers to identify business opportunities and translate them into technical solutions.
• Mentor and train junior team members in machine learning and deep learning concepts.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of production experience in Data Science or Software Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics and algorithms.
• Knowledge of Agentic Applications design, architecture and development.
• Vector database knowledge is highly appreciated.
• Understanding of data structures, data modeling and software architecture.
• Proficiency in at least two mainstream programming languages (Python, Scala, Java, C++).
• Experience building infrastructure for technical users, such as data scientists, ML practitioners, or data consumers/producers.
• Strong knowledge of Spark and Databricks is a plus.
• Experience developing/deploying ML solutions on one or more public cloud platforms with cross-cloud experience; Snowflake knowledge is a plus.
• Deep knowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g., Keras or PyTorch).
• Ability to design and implement machine learning pipelines in production environments.
• Experience with deployment including CI/CD, containerization, and MLops-related concepts (re-training, drift management).
• Ability to train more junior team members in multiple ML/DL concepts.
