Role Details

We're looking for an AI Business Effectiveness Engineer. This is a hands-on engineering role with real ownership. You'll embed yourself with teams across the company, map how work genuinely happens, and design, build, and ship AI-agent-based tools, improved pipelines, and internal platforms that increase Flow. You will own them end-to-end, from the first process map through production, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

You’ll also set the standard for how AI is adopted here: the governance that keeps our data secure, and the enablement that makes every Tangooer genuinely capable with these tools. You’ll need to be compelling and convincing to ensure we have company-wide alignment, and you will need to demonstrate our principle, Reroute Keep Going, in abundance.

In summary, this role is about never settling - it's about finding ways to do more, faster, and better. It is about watching hours of someone's manual work disappear into a workflow that just runs, freeing them up to spend more time and energy on the things that delight our customers.

Role Purpose

To increase operational flow across the business and make every individual and team measurably more effective. You will build AI directly into how the company works at every level and opportunity, helping Tangoo do things better and faster, and empowering team members to focus on the activities that really move the needle on achieving their roadmap outcomes.

You will obsessively seek out the manual, repetitive, friction-heavy work that is hiding inside existing processes, then develop and implement robust plans to replace them with intelligent, reliable, more effective solutions that people genuinely and gratefully rely upon. You will also set the high standard for how AI is perceived, adopted, governed, and used across the business.

This role is as much about people as it is about technology and processes. You will need to lead people positively and professionally through a change in their working practices.

Personal Skills & Essential Requirements Of The Role

• Process Mapping & Solution Design: Proven analytical ability to embed within teams, accurately map and deeply analyze comprehensive business systems and processes, in order to design clear, high-value workflows that increase organisational Flow.
• Technical Implementation: Strong, hands-on engineering skills building, prototyping, and shipping AI-agent-based workflows and custom tools across a stack spanning workflow automation (e.g., n8n), databases (e.g., MongoDB, Supabase, BigQuery), agentic development tooling (e.g., Claude Code), and API/webhook integrations, with scripting in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Applied AI & Agents: Working fluency integrating enterprise LLMs (e.g., Gemini, Claude) into real workflows, plus prompt design and governance, agent orchestration patterns, and retrieval-based (RAG) approaches, with a real eye for reliability, cost, and observability.
• Data Integrity: Discipline around clean data schema mapping, source integrity, and maintaining a single source of truth across connected systems.
• Project Management & Timelines: Highly organized, able to own project planning, outcomes, participants and timelines independently from initial process analysis through deployment and ongoing operation.
• Educational & Stakeholder Communication: Ability to distill complex technical topics into exceptionally clear communications, user-friendly narratives, and live demos, compelling and convincing enough to secure company-wide alignment.
• Strategic Prioritization: Sharp time-allocation skills to focus on high-impact initiatives and cut low-value work.
