FAO, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, invites applications for the position of Agribusiness Officer in Rome, Italy. The appointment is a fixed-term contract with potential extension, located at FAO Investment Centre (CFI).

The role focuses on investment and finance solutions for agribusiness value chains, engaging with public and private partners to promote sustainable investment and knowledge sharing.

Competenze

• Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in agriculture, agribusiness, economics, or closely related field.
• Five years of relevant experience in value chain analysis and development, agribusiness and market development, processing, including investment operations.
• Strong English proficiency and working knowledge of another FAO official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish).

Mansioni

• Participates in multidisciplinary teams for investment and finance solutions across food security, agriculture and agro-processing.
• Supports implementation of investment solutions and preparation of final evaluations.
• Participates in studies and strategies for investment plans and programmes at national or sub-national level.
• Contributes to capacity development for staff and private sector partners in agribusiness investments.
• Prepares reports per government and financing partners' requirements.
