POSITION

Reporting to: Service Manager

Type: Full-time

Target Compensation: Based on experience

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that customers are happy with their Magaldi-supplied equipment and that it is running to its optimal level through proactive visits and regular communication.
  • Maintenance Recommendations & Supervision:Customer equipment and spare parts review, recommendation, and field maintenance supervision.
  • Field Installation Supervision: Supervision of new equipment installations through plant personnel and field contractors.
  • Service Reporting & Documentation:Proper documentation of customer problems along with matching service and spare parts recommendations.
  • Aftermarket Sales:Responsible to help promote aftermarket service and spare parts.
  • Warehouse Support:Assist in shipping and receiving when needed.
  • Scheduling:Help the Aftermarket Service Manager maintain a proper service schedule.
  • Safety: Ensurethat all activities arefully compliant with the company and all local, state, and national EH&S standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Be the local technical service expert when it comes to diagnosing faults, repairing equipment recommending preventative maintenance and monitoringothers’ time to keep projects on schedule.

REQUIREMENTS

Degree:Technical degree preferred and/or equivalent experience.

Experience: 5+ years in industrial maintenance and service. The ideal candidate will have foundry and/or power plant experience.

Language: English fluency is required. Spanish ability preferred.

CAD Capabilities: Not required. Must be able to read engineered drawings

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Communication skills: Engineering consultants work with various people within projects, which includes attending meetings to discuss progress, provide ideas, and identify processes that need to be improved. Strong communication skills are a must to fulfill these duties.
  • Organization skills: Engineering consultants work to strict deadlines and often on several projects at a time. Incredible organization ensures that every task is completed to the correct deadline.
  • Computer knowledge: This role requires using different types of computer software, reading technical drawings, and making modifications, so engineering consultants need an aptitude for using computers.
  • Time management: Engineering consultants not only manage their own time effectively, but they must also monitor others’ time to keep projects on schedule.
