RINA is currently recruiting for a Aerospace CAD Designer to join its office in Rome within the Materials & Technologies Division.

Mission

RINA is looking for an aerospace CAD designer to expand our Industry team based in ROME (Italy).

Key Accountabilities
  1. To create and refine geometrical designs for aerospace components using CAD software, collaborating closely with the product project manager.
  2. To define parametric CAD models for the optimization of the geometry updating phases necessary during various design and verification steps, using 3D, 2D, and surface design modules.
  3. To perform 2D drawings of parts, setting production phases, work and integration cycles, interfacing with material process executors.
  4. To define construction tolerances and perform critical impact analysis on integration.
  5. To specify dimensional control criteria for manufactured parts.
  6. To conduct preliminary FEM structural analyses to identify critical areas related to dimensioning loads during modeling.
  7. To size seals, flanges, and bolts between parts.
  8. To prepare technical documents related to mechanical design activities, such as technical notes, dimensional control specifications, and configuration of product drawings.
Education

Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Space / Aerospace / Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing
  • Knowledge of structural simulations
  • Design experience with seals, bolts, and flanges
  • Proficiency with CATIA, MATLAB, ANSYS, Microsoft Office software
  • Understanding of cryogenic liquid propulsion and components
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
