TXT Group is looking for an Aeronautical Data Engineer to join the Flight Management System Navigation Database team within our Aerospace & Aviation Business Unit. The selected candidate will be involved in a project for our client Leonardo Helicopters, based in Cascina Costa di Samarate (VA). The role offers a hybrid work model (3-4 days remote, 1-2 days on-site), unless otherwise required by the client.
Main Responsibilities
Analysis and management of aeronautical data for Instrument Flight (IFR);
Production of Navigation Databases used by the Flight Management System on the client's fleet;
Maintenance and requirement/test definition of the used toolchain;
Management and improvement of aeronautical data production process (compliant to DO-200 standard);
Definition of experimental data supporting flight tests for avionic phases certification;
Definition of custom flight data supporting helicopter users operations.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM disciplines - recent graduates are welcome;
Interest in data analytics and data science;
Competence on relational databases (SQL);
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite;
Knowledge of versioning software Git, and Python and VBA languages represent added value;
Good knowledge of English language.
More specific technical skills will be improved when carrying out project activities.
