TGR Haas F1 Team, based in Maranello, Italy, seeks an Aero Engineer to support wind tunnel operations and aerodynamic development. The role entails planning and executing tests, analysing data, and delivering actionable insights to improve performance in collaboration with aero teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in aerospace or mechanical engineering with a preference for aerodynamics, and may have a PhD or 2+ years in Formula 1.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field; focus on aerodynamics/ fluid dynamics preferred.
• PhD and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience in Formula 1 is preferred.

Mansioni

• Conduct Wind Tunnel realism studies to assess aerodynamic impact and testing representativeness.
• Define, maintain and develop Wind Tunnel maps and performance metrics for development decisions and correlation activities.
• Define, execute and analyse dedicated Wind Tunnel and bench experiments to inform aerodynamic development and testing strategy.
• Advance aerodynamic measurement techniques including pressure measurements and flow-field diagnostics.
• Perform correlation studies across Wind Tunnel, Track, CFD and benches; identify discrepancies and improve realism.
• Build and maintain models and tools, ensuring compliance with software quality standards.
• Collaborate with Aero Development, Aero Performance, Aero Engineering, CFD and Software groups to maximise understanding and correlation.
