Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Europe Quality Leader, the Quality Assurance Specialist ensures that products or services meet established quality standards, playing a crucial role in identifying defects, process gaps and implementing processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and continuous improvement of the quality management for the Avenza and Kollsnes sites according to ISO 9001 requirements
  • Responsible for coordinating internal workstation audits and external audits
  • Conduct internal quality management systems & process Audits
  • Responsible for creating, maintaining and updating QMS procedures and work instructions through extensive collaborations with all functions.
  • Revise standard work to mitigate and prevent product & process quality defects
  • Drive and influence the organization at all levels towards a “zero defect” culture.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in engineering or equivalent experience
  • Some experience in a quality assurance role, preferable within the turbomachinery/aviation industries
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and oral)
  • Basic knowledge of Quality Management System tools, continuous improvement methodologies and ISO 9001:2015 standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to influence and work cross functionally, acting as a “glue” among departments

Desired Characteristics

  • Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering experience in the Aerospace or Aviation industry or experience in manufacturing engineering in Aerospace, Aviation or Oil and Gas field.
  • Prior experience with ISO 9001:2015
  • Demonstrated expertise to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization
