Responsibilities include developing technical specifications, executing industrialization processes, and collaborating on projects with other engineers to optimize operations across the AAJV Global Shops Network.

Job Description Summary

Within the L5 Component Repair Insourcing Program, the Engineer – Special Process will be responsible to support with the site special process. She/he will deal with technical specifications, purchase and industrialization of such technologies within the AAJV Global Shops Network.

Short Term, Special Process Engineer Shall

• Develop technical knowledge in AAJV special process, products and services through technical training and Special Process Engineers / Special Process Manager mentorship.
• On the Job training supporting other Special process Engineers with on going projects.
  
  

Long Term, Special Process Engineer Shall

• Master technical knowledge in one or more of the special process.
• Be the Subject Matter Expert for one or more special processes for the AAJV L5 Global Shops Network.
• Work with Special Process Engineers to implement new process throughout the AAJV Global Shop Network.
  
  

She/he will report to the Process Engineering Manager.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

• Special process reference for the Mesagne site. Be a Technical reference point for all the special processes and NTI (new technology introduction).
• Support in defining Engineering Spec to purchase Equipment, as per routings defined by Repair Engineering.
• Support technical selection of Farm-out company (Mesagne, Avenza, and Port Klang) to support business continuity plan and manage load peaks.
• Support technical selection/alignment of different Equipment suppliers.
• Support industrialization of everything connected with the NTI.
• Support in writing and maintaining of Operative Procedures for Special Process Operations.
• Support Repair Engineers with repairs and special processes work instructions.
• Support the roll-out and industrialization of L5 Special Process and Repairs.
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent significant experience in manufacturing.
• Willing to bubble assignment in Avenza/Firenze/ Port Klang (for training on the job purpose)
• Fluency in English and Italian, in writing and speaking.
• Capability and experience to work with local and remote resources, merging people from different locations as needed to close complex projects in due time.
• Previous experience in technical selection of new equipment / Industrialization.

• Proven years of experience in component manufacturing and/or university studies of aerospace engines or processes.
• Capability to prioritize business requirements and to efficiently manage assigned budgets.
