Your Role:

As the Maintenance Services Product Line Manager, you will evangelize Ciena's maintenance services globally, enabling sales and operations teams to maximize opportunities. This role, based in the EMEA region, will focus on process and sales enablement, including improving quoting operations and processes, while contributing to a global team.

Reporting to the Director Services Product Line Manager in Ottawa, Canada, you should have high-level knowledge of Ciena's technologies (Layer 0-3), products (6500, Routing and Switching, MCP), and maintenance portfolio. You should also be capable of building and reviewing commercial deal sheets and P&Ls, understanding the financials of the business. This role supports stakeholders worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle portfolio inquiries and RFP assistance
  • Develop, track, and manage offers through the New Service Introduction Process, collaborating with marketing on sales enablement and customer awareness
  • Develop KPIs based on industry benchmarks, including business metrics and portfolio performance
  • Lead sales enablement of portfolio strategies with field teams to promote targeted offers
  • Drive offer innovation, assessing opportunities, pricing, cost savings, and market trends critical to Ciena
  • Participate in product release calls to ensure portfolio representation
  • Capture customer requirements from delivery, sales, and other sources, integrating them into service roadmaps

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering or Business Administration, or equivalent industry experience
  • 10+ years in telecommunications
  • 3+ years in Product Line Management
  • Ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion
