The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading and supporting the implementation of new products and technologies within the Thermal Management Line of Business (LoB). The role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes, coordinating change management activities, and supporting the full product life cycle from a production perspective. This position plays a key role in driving continuous improvement, cost efficiency, and lean manufacturing principles across assigned projects and production sites.
Key Responsibilities
1.New Product Introduction & Change Management
- Lead the implementation of new products, processes, and technologies across designated LoBs.
- Coordinate product lifecycle activities and change management from a manufacturing perspective.
- Support and manage the build and documentation of prototypes and beta units.
2. Process Improvement & Manufacturing Support
- Identify and implement opportunities for production process improvements.
- Provide input to R&D on materials, components, and assembly procedures aligned with current or future production capabilities.
- Analyze and lead new technology investments in production systems and tools.
3.Operational & Technical Oversight
- Prepare and manage work instructions, test procedures, and technical documentation.
- Provide training to local engineering and production teams on new products and accessories.
- Evaluate savings initiatives and propose improvements to reduce production costs.
- Perform make-or-buy analyses to support sourcing decisions.
- Lead cross-functional teams to meet timelines and objectives related to new product launches.
- Set and manage priorities in engineering changes and drive implementation.
- Ensure compliance with lean manufacturing (VOS), 5S, and international trade controls (ITC).
Qualifications:
- University degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in industrial engineering or a related manufacturing environment preferred.
- Intermediate English proficiency (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and ERP systems (preferably Oracle).
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM tools and industrial engineering methodologies.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and lean principles.
- Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in an international and cross-functional environment.
- Self-driven, goal-oriented, and collaborative.
