Descrizione del lavoro

The Activity Assistant is responsible for assisting residents within the Life Enrichment Department, ensuring programs meet residents' interests and well-being, in accordance with standards, policies, and directives from the Activity Director. They implement wellness programs, conduct staff in-services, and manage activity programming in Independent Living. The role includes making recommendations on resident preferences, scheduling, and programming. The Activity Assistant also drives residents to appointments and outings.

Reports to: Executive Director.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Assist in creating a social atmosphere and promote participation through events, activities, and programs.
  2. Drive residents to medical appointments, outings, and events as scheduled.
  3. Ensure activities respect residents' cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity.
  4. Follow move-in evaluation/lease standards.
  5. Encourage and actively engage resident participation in activities.
  6. Plan, schedule, and conduct staff in-services as directed.
  7. Support a positive professional image through actions and dress.
  8. Maintain current knowledge through continuing education and networking.
  9. Support community marketing efforts and assist with community tours and events.
  10. Assist with resident welcome and birthday programs.
  11. Help set up special events and participate in marketing activities.
  12. Participate in departmental meetings to communicate key issues.
  13. Obtain and maintain all required certifications/licenses.
  14. Encourage teamwork and cooperative interactions.
  15. Maintain a safe environment following safety standards.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
