Accounting & Treasury Manager - Southern Europe F/M

Position

Southern Europe retail zone is based in Milan, and covers retail operations for all the stores of Christian Dior Couture in 7 countries: Italy, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Greece, Cyprus, and Turkey. Directly reporting to the Southern Europe Finance Director (and functionally to the Treasury Europe Manager), the Accounting and Treasury Manager will play a pivotal role in guaranteeing accurate financial information and optimizing treasury management.

You will work in collaboration with the Finance Manager and its controller’s team and supervise accounting back offices in the different countries of operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting supervision
   • Supervise monthly and quarterly accounting closings, according to Group standards and deadlines.
   • Harmonize the chart of accounts between different entities.
   • Perform regular reviews of the balance sheet.
   • Follow-up differences between IFRS and local GAAP, formalize equity reconciliations.
   • Review statutory accounts, and participate in the annual audits.
2. Taxes
   • Review VAT and income tax returns on a regular basis.
   • Follow-up any tax inspection, or tax/customs audit.
   • Follow-up Transfer Pricing documentation, when applicable.
3. Treasury Management
   • Review and co-validate payments throughout the weeks: external suppliers, payroll, taxes, and intercompany. A specific attention on rent payments is required.
   • Perform monthly Group Treasury reporting.
   • Forecast cash evolution of the different countries, considering local specificities and constraints.
   • Optimize cash management: deposits, loans, conversion into euro, dividend payments, opening or closure on bank accounts according to local specificities.
   • Be responsible for accesses to local e-bankings, in conformity with internal audit guidelines.
4. IT Systems
   • Participate in the implementation or enhancement of new accounting systems.
   • Follow-up the Purchase Order systems in the different countries.
   • Follow-up POS development projects in store (integration PQD with POS systems, interface with tax refund).

Profile

Master’s degree qualified in business or finance, with accounting background: IFRS and Italian GAAP in particular.

Min 5-year experience in a company with international exposure.

Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.

Proficiency in English is a must, Italian highly recommended.

A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data.

Ability to stick to time constraints.
