Senior Accountant

The challenge

Haier Europe Group, a multinational Group that is a worldwide leader in home appliances and is listed in three different Stock Exchanges Markets, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Administration team in Italy.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, highly organized results driven individual with strong communication skills, judgment and problem-solving skills with the capacity to work in a non-structured environment.

What you will do

Main tasks:

• manage day-to-day accounting activities in compliance with IFRS GAAP, internal policies, SOX controls, and external audits;
• owner of the financial close process and related activities, including reviewing the journal entries and accounts reconciliations within the established timeline;
• partner closely with the Controlling & Reporting team;
• contribute to process improvements and automation efforts to streamline accounting operations and improve the quality of monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, and internal controls.

What you need to succeed

Must have

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Professional Experience:

- min 5 years’ experience developed either in a medium-large company or within a Big4 consultancy firm both in the accounting and controlling department

- willingness to work in a dynamic reality, in strong growth and in the phase of structuring

Language: good knowledge of English (written and spoken)

Soft skills:

- high level of self-organization, prioritization and commitment

- excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills

- excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and liaise with global internal and external stakeholders

Other: strong Excel and Microsoft Office product experience, preferable experience in working with SAP
