Job summary

Intertek in Italy’s Lombardy region is seeking an Accounting & Reporting Specialist to join the Finance team at the Italian Headquarters. The role supports financial reporting, analysis and business decision-making in a dynamic multinational environment.

You will report to the Finance Manager and collaborate across the organization to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial information, contributing to month-end and year-end close, budgeting, forecasting and reporting improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
• 4–6 years of accounting, reporting or finance support experience, preferably in multinational environments.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with reporting tools.
• Fluent Italian and good English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial and management reports for local management and group stakeholders.
• Consolidate and validate financial data from different areas.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and working capital reporting.
• Perform financial and variance analysis and monitor KPIs.
• Assist with reconciliations and accounting adjustments.
• Coordinate collection of financial information to meet reporting deadlines.
• Act as liaison between Finance and operations for reporting matters.
• Maintain and improve Excel-based reporting files and tools.
• Support continuous improvement of reporting processes and internal controls.

Accounting & Reporting Specialist to join our Finance team at the Italian Headquarters.

What to expect

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will contribute to the financial reporting and analysis activities of the Italian business, working closely with Finance colleagues and stakeholders across the organization to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Preparing financial and management reports for local management, regional Finance and Group stakeholders;
• Collecting, consolidating and validating financial data from different business areas, ensuring accuracy, completeness and consistency;
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities in collaboration with the Finance Manager and Shared Service teams;
• Contributing to budgeting, forecasting and working capital reporting processes;
• Performing financial and variance analysis, monitoring key business performance indicators;
• Supporting accounting reconciliations and accounting adjustments when required;
• Coordinating the timely collection of financial information and ensuring reporting deadlines are met;
• Acting as a key point of contact between Finance and operational teams for reporting and accounting-related matters;
• Maintaining and improving reporting files, databases and Excel-based reporting tools;
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing reporting processes, information flows and internal controls.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a curious, analytical and proactive professional who enjoys working with financial data and transforming it into meaningful business insights.

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline;
• Approximately 4-6 years of experience in accounting, reporting or finance support roles, preferably within multinational or international environments;
• Good understanding of accounting principles, periodic closing activities and financial reporting processes;
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data and reporting tools;
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and a hands‑on approach to problem solving;
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions;
• Fluent Italian and a good working knowledge of English.

What we offer

• Permanent employment contract under the Italian Commercial Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL Commercio);
• Annual gross salary (RAL) between €38,000 and €42,000, depending on experience, skills and level of autonomy;
