We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee our Italian financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Italian GAAP, local tax regulations, and compliance requirements, combined with experience working for or with U.S.-based companies and familiarity with U.S. GAAP and multinational reporting standards.

This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting cycle for our Italian entity, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with both local and global financial policies.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations for the Italian entity, including general ledger, accounts payable / receivable, payroll accounting, and month-end close.
• Ensure full compliance with Italian statutory and tax regulations (IVA / VAT, INPS, IRAP, IRES, etc.).
• Prepare and file all local tax returns and financial statements in coordination with external advisors as needed.
• Coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting under both Italian GAAP and group (U.S. GAAP or IFRS) requirements.
• Collaborate with the U.S. and India finance teams to support global consolidation and internal reporting timelines.
• Act as the key point of contact for local auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
• Monitor and improve internal controls, ensuring SOX or equivalent compliance where applicable.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes at the local level.
• Provide leadership to local finance staff and ensure adherence to group policies and deadlines.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent qualification a plus.
• Minimum 8+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a similar role in Italy.
• Proven experience working for a U.S.-based company or within a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Italian accounting principles and local tax laws.
• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and multinational reporting standards.
• Experience with SAP ERP system and Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent in Italian and proficient in English (spoken and written).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience working in a matrixed, international organization.
• Previous involvement with cross-border intercompany transactions and transfer pricing documentation.
