Moneyfarm is seeking an Italian Accounting and Tax Manager to own accounting, tax, and regulatory reporting for its Italian entities in Milan. You will lead a small finance team, collaborate with Group Finance, and ensure accurate close processes and compliance with local standards.
The role requires a Master’s in Economics/Finance/Accounting and a professional Italian qualification, with 8+ years in regulated financial services or fintech. Hybrid work with three days in Milan office.

About the role
Moneyfarm is seeking a proactive and experienced Italian Accounting and Tax Manager to take full ownership of our accounting, tax, and regulatory financial reporting functions in Italy for a period of 6-9 months.
Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, you will oversee end-to-end local financial operations for our Italian legal entities:
In this position, you will lead a local team of 2 finance professionals in Milan, collaborate closely with Group Finance and FP&A, and manage key relationships with external advisers and audit partners.

Education & Qualification: Master's Degree (Laurea Magistrale) in Economics, Finance, or Accounting. Professional accounting/auditing qualification (Dottore Commercialista or Revisore Legale) is strongly preferred.
Experience: 8/10+ years of relevant accounting and financial control experience, ideally (but not limited to) within regulated Financial Services, Wealth Management, Asset Management, or Fintech in Italy.
Experience in accounting firms will be highly regarded.
Tax & Transfer Pricing Knowledge: Practical experience with Italian corporate tax and partial VAT exemption (pro-rata VAT). Understanding of cross-border intercompany transactions and Transfer Pricing documentation is highly desirable.
Systems: Experience with NetSuite (or similar cloud-based ERP systems) and strong Excel capabilities.
Languages: Business fluency in both Italian and English (written and spoken) is required for cross-border collaboration.
Leadership: Proven experience coaching direct reports.
Nice to have:
Full or part-time, requirement of spending 3 days per week in the office, based in Milan (near Central Station).
The contract will be fixed-term, and depending on the candidate's experience, the target budget for the gross annual salary (RAL) is between €32k and €50k. We can potentially evaluate more senior candidates who are a perfect fit for our job description, offering a higher salary but on a part-time basis of 3 to 4 days a week.
