Role: Account Technology Strategist (ATS)
The ATS leads the design of strategies and architectures to drive digitalization and innovation for our public sector customers, acting as a Thought Leader in Innovation and Digital Transformation. With a deep understanding of business, broad technology skills, and industry knowledge, the ATS connects the innovation and digital transformation agendas of financial services customers to technology strategies, leveraging Microsoft and partner ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital Transformation & Innovation Strategy: Understand customer goals, industry trends, and solutions to develop a 3 Horizon roadmap that enables the customer’s digital and innovation agenda. Expand Microsoft relationships into digital transformation partnerships.
- Technology Thought Leadership: Reimagine technology's role as a business and innovation partner, helping customers understand emerging technologies and inspiring them to adopt Microsoft solutions as main enablers of business innovation.
- Industry & Business Architecture: Create long-term strategies linking business, technology, and industry needs to support transformation strategies based on customer insights.
- Technology Sales: Orchestrate sales activities to drive the digital transformation vision, plan solutions, and coordinate teams to deliver the right solutions.
- Account Leadership: Act as a change agent to inspire and ideate about new technologies, strengthening relationships with C-level technology and innovation executives.
Responsibilities
Customer and Industry Insights
- Generate business insights from knowledge of the customer's technology landscape and engagement experience. Challenge customers to consider alternative business models and adapt plans accordingly.
- Coordinate teams to gather information, collaborate on performance metrics, and identify risks. Use insights to address broader business challenges and deliver solutions.
- Develop digital transformation strategies aligned with business outcomes, challenging assumptions and creating compelling messages for customer alignment.
Trusted Advisor
- Act as a virtual CTO/CDO, supplementing existing relationships with connections at the CIO level. Research organizational charts, identify decision-makers, and advise on solutions that meet customer needs.
- Leverage account information, industry, and business strategies to coach internal teams on customer profiles and strategies. Provide technical guidance to position Microsoft solutions effectively.
- Maintain strong knowledge of Microsoft's product landscape, solutions, and industry strategies within assigned accounts.
