The role
Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, the City Manager is a unique opportunity to join the Italian Commercial team.

You will build relationships with restaurant partners in your area, enhancing our customer proposition and identifying growth opportunities.

This role suits someone who enjoys relationship building and data-driven insights for growth.

You will be based in Trieste or nearby cities.

What you'll do:

  • Be the local expert for your city (or cities), understanding the restaurant industry and representing Deliveroo locally.
  • Use data insights to improve our customer offering neighborhood by neighborhood.
  • Manage top restaurant partners, leading negotiations and optimizing their performance for growth.
  • Collaborate with the local account manager to develop local hero brands.
  • Identify and onboard new popular local restaurants, setting them up for success.
  • Develop local sales strategies, focusing on closing value gaps and key areas.
  • Enhance our customer experience through local knowledge, including improving restaurant options and operations, and working on strategic plans with regional teams.
  • Maximize marketing opportunities by engaging local restaurants.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of proven experience in account/relationship management, sales, or strategy roles.
  • Results-oriented and target-driven.
  • Comfortable analyzing restaurant and city performance data to identify improvements.
  • Ability to work both in the field (2-3 days/week) and remotely.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, face-to-face, phone, or email.
