Job Title: Account Manager
About the Company

A Chinese telecom equipment provider, now a global ICT player. They offer comprehensive solutions, including optical fiber, wireless communications, and network systems, serving telecom operators, businesses, and governments.

Location and Work Model

Remote position — Italy-based candidates only.

About the Role

You will be joining a team of around 60 people in Europe. While the company is already well established in countries such as Germany, Greece, and Spain, Italy is a new market for them. Reporting directly to the CEO of the Spanish branch, you will be the first person in Italy, responsible for developing the client’s footprint and activities across the country, focusing on telecom operators such as TIM and Vodafone.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Development and Maintenance:Identify potential customers and establish contact. Maintain existing relationships to ensure satisfaction and promote repeat purchases.
  2. Achieving Sales Targets:Meet sales targets set by the company. Develop and execute sales plans to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  3. Product Promotion:Introduce company products or services to customers, highlighting their advantages and features. Provide customized solutions based on customer needs.
  4. Market Research:Gather market information and analyze competitors and industry trends. Provide feedback on customer needs and market dynamics to help the company adjust strategies.
  5. Contract Negotiation and Signing:Negotiate contract terms with customers to ensure mutual agreement. Sign contracts and follow up on execution.
  6. After-Sales Service:Resolve customer issues to ensure high-quality after-sales support. Handle complaints and work to enhance customer satisfaction.
  7. Team Collaboration:Work with marketing, product, and technical support teams to meet customer needs. Participate in team meetings to share insights and market trends.
  8. Training and Learning:Attend company training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills. Stay updated on industry developments to maintain competitiveness.
Requirements and Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in business or related fields.
  2. 6+ years of experience in the telco sector in Italy.
  3. Experience with passive (ideally) or active components for the telco sector.
  4. Good understanding of procurement or network planning processes in telco companies.
  5. Native or fluent in Italian & English.
  6. Availability for business travel across Italy, with occasional travel to Spain (a few times per year) and potentially China in the future.
