About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Account Executive to join our Project Solutions team. This role involves developing new business opportunities and expanding relationships with existing clients in the construction insurance sector. The focus is on the concept, design, and execution of Controlled Insurance Programs and other project needs, ensuring comprehensive risk management solutions tailored to clients' needs.

The AE / PRA works closely with clients and in-house teams of brokers, Project Managers, Claims Advocates, Risk Engineers, and Project Administrators to develop and implement effective insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities Include Client Relationship Management and New Business Development :

  • Identify key stakeholders within clients’ organizations and build strong, sustainable relationships.
  • Present custom risk management solutions to clients and prospects professionally and clearly.
  • Work closely with clients to identify unmitigated risks, cross-sell products, and deliver tailored insurance programs.
  • Analyze clients' risk profiles and develop targeted marketing strategies.
  • Review upstream contract insurance requirements and design compliant insurance programs.
  • Develop and deliver project exposure requests and applications for underwriters.
  • Design wrap-up program bid methods with sponsors.
  • Maintain knowledge of carrier underwriting appetites and recommend markets.
  • Negotiate with underwriters for favorable terms.
  • Obtain and evaluate coverage quotes, addressing binding subjectivities.
  • Lead risk presentations and respond to underwriter inquiries.

Proposal & Policy Management :

  • Prepare and approve proposal documents, including executive summaries.
  • Convert proposals into summaries post-binding and ensure accurate billing.
  • Support team responses to RFPs, ensuring timely submissions.
  • Monitor team progress and guide project execution.

Ongoing Client & Program Support :

  • Develop and oversee Special Account Client Instructions (SACI).
  • Review account reports for accuracy and maintain financial health.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Skills & Experience That Lead to Success

  • Minimum 10 years in the insurance industry, focusing on construction risk and Controlled Insurance Programs.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Knowledge of carrier markets, underwriting, and negotiation strategies.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency with insurance management software and understanding of wrap-up administration.
  • Ability to interpret construction contract insurance provisions and policy language.
