Since Alma's creation in 2018, our growth has been exceptional with hundreds of new merchants adopting our solutions every month. We currently collaborate with 19,000+ merchants across 10 European countries, and the acquisition of new Mid-Market accounts is a pivotal focus for us.

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team. This key position will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth in Italy by identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and expanding our market presence in both local markets. You will be based in either Milan or Paris , with regular travel between the two cities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential growth areas and emerging trends.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to meet company growth objectives.
  • Analyze competitors and assess potential risks and opportunities.
  • Identify client needs and propose tailored solutions to meet their business objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts and close business deals that align with company goals.
  • Achieve and exceed revenue targets by generating leads and converting them into new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, from lead generation to deal closure.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create compelling proposals and presentations.

Partnerships & Networking :

  • Identify and establish strategic partnerships to enhance business growth.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company and expand its market footprint.

Reporting & Performance Tracking :

  • Prepare regular reports on sales, market performance, and strategic initiatives for senior management.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of business development strategies, adjusting them to ensure sustained growth.

About you

Experience :

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, ideally within a fast-growing Tech / SaaS sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing new business and achieving revenue targets.

Skills :

  • Strong understanding of market dynamics in Europe, particularly in Italy.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales tracking tools.
  • Fluency in English and Italian is required.
