Based in Milan.

The Account Executive is responsible for maintaining existing client relationships and portfolios, with accountability for client retention and new business development. This role involves managing and developing client and WTW relationships, servicing and growing the portfolio within the business unit, and targeting and converting prospects. The core principle is to prioritize the interests of clients and uphold market integrity in all business activities.

Responsibilities :

  1. Providing day-to-day client service by addressing requests and queries from clients, insurers, and third parties via voice and email, including advice on cover, contract reviews, placement of cover under global programs, negotiation, and issuance of evidence of insurance.
  2. Understanding clients' business and risk management needs and delivering ongoing service to meet those needs.
  3. Comprehending clients' global insurance programs and aligning them with their insurance and risk management philosophies.
  4. Maintaining accurate information on the client database.
  5. Preparing market presentations and underwriting submissions as required.
  6. Interpreting and reviewing quotations to ensure they meet client needs and are fit for purpose.
  7. Negotiating terms and cover alterations with insurers and presenting these to clients.
  8. Completing reports and summaries of insurance for interested parties.
  9. Attending key client and market meetings.
  10. Collaborating with clients and insurers to address and resolve issues.
  11. Liaising with other divisions and offices of WTW to access specialist expertise and provide local service support.

Qualifications

The Requirements

  • Degree-level education.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written).
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of insurance to effectively address client needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and insurers.
  • Professional demeanor when dealing with internal and external contacts, maintaining high credibility.
  • Proven experience delivering high-quality client service.
  • Ability to analyze situations and recommend optimal solutions.
  • Understanding of the processes supporting the Business Unit and WTW's operating model and strategy.
  • Experience working within and adhering to client service processes and systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and intermediate data analysis skills.
