The Account Development Specialist is responsible for listening to, discovering, and understanding client needs to identify sales opportunities and find the best Nielsen solution to ensure they make a return on their investment in us. The Account Development Specialist is expected to proactively build a valuable network in the industry and be an ambassador for this exciting growing department internally.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Building and maintaining strong networking and engagement with key players in client networks.
- Understanding and constantly updating the needs and trends in the challenger brand sector (up to 50m turnover) in the country.
- Explain and guide clients through what can appear to be quite a complex world of data, with people who may have never been trained in market research or data before. Patience is a must!
- Appreciate the investment that a small or medium business is making and be able to illustrate the potential for value return with a really confident understanding of case studies and experiences.
- Preparing simple and compelling proposals and pitches.
- Understanding the other products we offer to find opportunities to expand their services.
- Displaying consultative sales behaviors and listening to client needs.
- Delivering revenue targets, taking accountability for business planning and implementation. Visibility to all opportunities & risk.
- Heavy usage of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM) to keep track of sales activities, leads and opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Sales experience, minimum 2-3 years, including some sales training (preferable Tech and Durables sector)
- Skilled & polished communicator, including client presentations
- Strong logic, deductive reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Able to maintain positive client relationships in complex situations & resolve client issues
- Able to work collaboratively with internal & external teams
- Strong sense of urgency and accountability to drive client outcomes
- Experience using a CRM (Salesforce, Hubspot, Dynamic...)
- Full competency with Microsoft Office
- Experience forecasting and reporting on targets and budgets
- Immediately available for Maternity leave cover 12 months
