An established industry player is looking for a dedicated Satellite Technician to join their Satellite Communication Support team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of satellite communication systems, ensuring top-notch service delivery to local and remote users. We are seeking support for our Satellite Communication Support team. The Service Provider will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of satellite communication systems. The service provider shall offer support services including the following activities: with excellent technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing top-level customer service.
The complete installation and configuration of all elements of a satellite communication system.
On all satellite station elements as required or requested, including satellite link setup, network, baseband, and RF configuration, as well as software updates and patches. Installation and maintenance of power/data and fiber optic cables, with proper labeling and updating as-built documents. Support to the local Power technician in installing and setting up power generation and distribution systems, heating and cooling systems, and ancillary systems like fuel, water supply, domestic, and fire protection.
Conduct regular maintenance inspections of all active/passive SATCOM, Power, HVAC, security, and ancillary elements/systems as per specific preventive maintenance procedures. This includes daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual inspections, cleaning, greasing, measurement, and adjustment of electronic components, and assisting power technicians in preventive tasks. Diagnose and repair issues, replace faulty components, and update software as needed.
Engage in stakeholder management, providing technical support and troubleshooting for local and remote users, maintaining accurate records of services, and supporting the service model led by the site Station Commander, integrated with the on-site team 24/7.
Participate in daily reporting, planning activities, workshops, events, and conferences related to supported services as requested by the service delivery manager.
Location: NCI Agency in Lughezzano (Italy), within a Class II Security Area.
Travel: May be required to other locations on an exceptional basis.
Hours: During the Purchaser’s working hours, with potential rotating shifts including weekends and holidays, typically 24 hours on, followed by 5 days off.
