Descrizione del lavoro

You’re ready to bring your knowledge from the classroom to the boardroom, and Citi wants to help you get there. Whether it’s honing your skills or building your network, we know that success can’t come without growth. Our programs equip you with the knowledge and training you need to play a valuable role on your team and establish a long-term career here. At Citi, we value internal mobility, and career growth is not a question of if, but when.

Citi's Italy Commercial Bank is looking to hire a full-time Analyst to join our team in Milan. Citi has a robust history in Italy, spanning over 100 years. We have recently expanded our offerings by introducing Citi Commercial Bank (CCB), providing comprehensive banking solutions to mid-sized, globally minded corporates. We are a fast-growing business with plans to significantly scale over the next five years and beyond. CCB offers extensive industry knowledge, local expertise, and dedicated service support to companies with an international footprint.

This Analyst position has been created due to the strong growth of the CCB business in Italy. The Analyst will work directly with Relationship Managers on a portfolio of clients and coordinate with various Citi teams worldwide, including credit underwriting, cash management, loans, FX, derivatives, capital markets, and investment banking. The Analyst plays a critical role in supporting Relationship Managers with managing existing portfolios and generating new business, serving as an ideal developmental opportunity to transition into a relationship management role.

Why Commercial Banking is a great career path

As an Analyst, you will participate in a comprehensive training program that provides an in-depth understanding of the Analyst role and introduces you to Citi’s culture. Regardless of your degree, we will provide the training needed to help you succeed.

Our rotational programs are designed to help you build a broad skill set and accelerate your career by exposing you to various roles. The 24-month analyst program begins in August with a training phase, followed by rotations across three areas within Citi’s CCB business functions, including credit risk, treasury, and trade solutions.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting credit approvals for new and existing clients using official and internal databases, analyzing financial data through models such as company valuations, discounted cash flow, and comparative analyses.
  • Gathering and analyzing company information to assist transactions, including industry research and financial data organization.
  • Collaborating with Relationship Managers to determine suitable credit and cash management products, creating pitch books, prospect memos, and client decks.
  • Managing key client relationships, supporting transaction processes, and coordinating training sessions on Citi products.
  • Conducting customer due diligence and KYC procedures for new and existing clients, managing documentation for onboarding and account opening processes.
  • Coordinating with internal and external teams, supporting Relationship Managers with inquiries and reporting, and preparing internal documentation to ensure compliance.
Candidate profile:
  • Final-year university student or graduate.
  • Expected or achieved Laurea (94+) or equivalent at undergraduate level in any discipline.
  • Interest in business.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
Ideal candidate qualities:
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, initiative, and leadership potential.
  • Professionalism, maturity, integrity, and insight in client interactions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Focus and cooperation to achieve group and client objectives.
  • Unquestioned commitment to integrity and ethical decision-making.
