Job Description:

The Dexia Group, a former banking group under orderly resolution since 2012, with its main establishments in Brussels and Paris and branches in Ireland, the United States, and Rome, is looking for a junior legal specialist for its Rome branch. The junior legal specialist will manage transactions and relationships with Italian public-sector institutions, including related disputes.

This position based in Rome is for a one-year contract. Depending on opportunities within the entity, a permanent contract could be considered after the one-year contract concludes.

Compensation will be based on the candidate's relevant experience.

The junior legal specialist will:

1. Support the local legal counsel in managing complex disputes involving Italian and UK judicial authorities, related to financing and swap transactions with Italian public-sector institutions.
2. Manage relationships with external lawyers.
3. Assess the legal impacts of the branch's activities.
4. Provide internal reports on dispute statuses.
5. Prepare documentation for decision-making bodies related to the branch's activities.
6. Ensure all legal acts are correct and compliant with laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Final Italian Law Degree from a reputable university; passing the bar examination is preferred.
• Two to three years of professional experience, preferably in a law practice or multinational company in Italian Law.
• Strong knowledge of Italian administrative, civil, and procedural law.
• Excellent Italian speaking and writing skills; advanced English proficiency (French is a plus).
• Proficiency with commonly used software suites.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, relationship management, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a team.
