Offer Description

The post is for a permanent position. The area of research is Aerospace Structures and Design.
Requested research duties: That the required research commitment be carried out within the framework of the themes characterizing the scientific disciplinary sector IIND-01/D Aerospace Structures and Design, with particular reference to research topics in the field of structural mechanics applied to the aerospace domain. Areas of interest include the analysis, design, and optimization of lightweight and high-performance structures, with particular attention to composite materials, thin-walled structures, deployable systems, and smart or adaptive structures; the study of the nonlinear mechanical behavior of structures subjected to large deformations, instabilities, and dynamic loading conditions; and the computational and experimental modeling of complex structural phenomena, including in extreme environments;
Requested teaching duties: That the teaching commitment be directed toward courses in undergraduate and doctoral programs in the areas of aerospace structures, materials, and construction, with particular reference to structural mechanics, the design of lightweight structures, and the analysis of structural stability and dynamics. Other teaching topics include thin-walled structures, deployable structures, advanced materials for aerospace applications, and numerical techniques for simulating structural behavior.

Participation in the procedure is reserved for candidates external to the University as defined by art. 18, paragraph 4, L. 240/2010, or to "those who in the last three years have not served as a full professor, associate professor, permanent researcher, fixed-term researcher as per article 24, paragraph 3, letters a) and b), or have not held research grants or enrolled in university courses" at the University of Trento.
Applications are welcome from candidates with the following qualifications:
a) candidates who have obtained national scientific qualification (“A.S.N.”), pursuant to art. 16 of Law no. 240/2010, for the academic recruitment field 09/A1 corresponding to the discipline group covered by the announcement and for the functions covered by the procedure, or for higher functions provided they are not already holders of the same higher functions;
b) candidates who are declared suitable by the Academic Qualifications Procedure, as per law no. 210/1998, for the academic discipline included in the academic recruitment field 09/A1, and for the level corresponding to the position advertised in the selection procedure, or for a higher academic level, as long as they do not hold the position, for the period in which the suitability remains valid;
c) professors already working at other universities at the level corresponding to that of the selection procedure;
d) academics working at universities abroad in teaching or research work at an academic level equal to the level of the position advertised in the selection procedure, on the basis of the table comparing Italian academic positions with positions abroad as defined by the Ministry in Ministerial Decree no. 456/2023.
