Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, Electronics, or a related field.
- Minimum two years of relevant experience in Zoho development, ERP/CRM implementation, or software consulting.
- Strong knowledge of Zoho applications and ability to map client requirements to Zoho solutions.
- Experience with Deluge scripting, APIs, integrations, and web technologies.
- Ability to document requirements and translate them into technical designs.

Responsibilities

As a Zoho Advanced and Zoho Finance Premium Partner, we work with businesses across different industries to understand their operational requirements and implement suitable Zoho applications and customized solutions.
We are looking for a responsible, technically skilled, and career-focused Zoho Technical Consultant who can understand client requirements, convert business processes into technical workflows, and develop reliable solutions using the Zoho ecosystem.
The Zoho Technical Consultant will be responsible for understanding client business requirements, identifying the appropriate Zoho applications, designing workflows, developing custom solutions, and coordinating with the functional and project teams to complete implementations successfully.
The candidate must be capable of translating business requirements into practical technical solutions using Zoho applications, Deluge scripting, APIs, integrations, and web technologies.
This role requires strong application knowledge, logical thinking, timely execution, professional communication, teamwork, and a commitment to delivering quality solutions.
- Participate in client meetings and requirement-gathering sessions.
- Understand the client’s business model, operational processes, challenges, approval structures, and reporting requirements.
- Ask relevant questions to identify the actual business requirement behind each request.
- Document requirements clearly and communicate them to the project and implementation teams.
- Identify gaps, dependencies, limitations, and potential risks before development begins.
- Avoid unnecessary customization when the requirement can be managed through standard Zoho functionality.
- Evaluate client requirements and recommend the most suitable Zoho applications.
- Determine whether the requirement can be addressed through Zoho CRM, Zoho Books, Zoho Inventory, Zoho Creator, Zoho People, Zoho Desk, Zoho Projects, Zoho Analytics, Zoho Expense, Zoho Sign, Zoho Flow, Zoho Forms, Zoho WorkDrive, or other relevant Zoho applications.
- Understand how different Zoho applications work together within the Zoho ecosystem.
- Recommend practical, scalable, and cost-effective solutions based on the client’s requirements.
- Explain application capabilities, limitations, and technical dependencies to internal teams and clients.
- Convert business processes into structured workflows, automation rules, approval processes, blueprints, functions, and system configurations.
- Work closely with functional consultants, project managers, developers, migration teams, and support teams.
- Prepare process flows, field structures, module relationships, user roles, permissions, validation rules, and automation requirements.
- Design solutions that are simple, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with the approved scope of work.
- Ensure that workflows and technical designs are properly documented before development.
- Develop custom functions and automation using Zoho Deluge.
- Configure and customize modules, fields, layouts, related lists, workflows, approval processes, blueprints, reports, dashboards, and notifications.
- Develop applications and extensions using Zoho Creator where required.
- Develop API integrations between Zoho applications and external systems.
- Work with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, XML, OAuth, and third-party integration services.
- Use Zoho Flow or custom integration methods based on project requirements.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, integration failures, automation errors, and performance problems.
- Test all configurations, scripts, workflows, integrations, and custom applications before deployment.
- Prepare relevant test scenarios based on the approved business process.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing support.
- Identify and resolve errors before presenting the solution to the client.
- Ensure that the delivered solution meets the agreed requirements and approved scope of work.
- Maintain proper version control, backup, and documentation for all custom developments.
- Complete assigned tasks within the agreed timeline.
- Provide accurate progress updates to the project manager and relevant team members.
- Immediately communicate technical challenges, requirement gaps, or possible delays.
- Take ownership of assigned work from requirement understanding through final delivery.
- Follow internal project management, documentation, testing, and deployment procedures.
- Avoid incomplete, undocumented, or untested development.
- Support successful implementation, client training, go-live, and post-implementation activities.
- Explain technical solutions to clients in a clear and professional manner.
- Conduct demonstrations of developed workflows and applications.
- Provide technical support during implementation and after go-live when assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding client data, business processes, login credentials, and project information.
- Handle client communication professionally and avoid committing to requirements without internal approval.
- Maintain a service-oriented and problem-solving approach.
The candidate should have practical knowledge or demonstrable experience in the following areas:
- Zoho workflows, blueprints, approval processes, validation rules, and custom functions
- Zoho APIs and third-party integrations
- REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, JSON and XML
- HTML
- CSS
- Database concepts and data relationships
- Application architecture and workflow design
- Data import, export, transformation, and migration
- Debugging and troubleshooting
- Reports and dashboard development
- User roles, profiles, permissions, and data-sharing rules
Knowledge of SQL, PHP, Python, Java, Node.js, or other development technologies will be considered an advantage.
The candidate should have experience with, or the ability to quickly learn, multiple Zoho applications, including:
- Zoho Recruit
Deep expertise in every application is not mandatory. However, the candidate must understand the purpose of different Zoho applications and be capable of identifying which application or combination of applications is suitable for a client requirement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, Electronics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum two years of relevant experience in Zoho development, business application development, ERP implementation, CRM implementation, or software consulting is preferred.
- Candidates with strong Zoho application knowledge, technical ability, and a proven project portfolio may also be considered.
- Zoho certifications will be an added advantage.
- Experience working directly with business clients will be preferred.
