Job summary

YRG MERF is implementing the KiDS programme in government schools in Uttar Pradesh. The role develops district plans, engages government officials, and coordinates teacher training using KiDS manuals. You will supervise field mapping, community outreach, and data management to improve outcomes.

With 5+ years in development/health work, you will lead reporting, documentation, and financial records at district level; travel ~20 days/month is required. Fluency in Hindi and English is essential.

Qualifications

  • Post-graduation in Social Sciences, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of program management experience in development health or nutrition.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and data presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of UP education system; Hindi and English fluency required.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the district-level project plan with the Programme Manager.
  • Engage stakeholders at state, district, and block levels including government officials.
  • Plan and facilitate teacher training using KiDS manuals; coordinate with district officials.
  • Supervise community mapping and conduct awareness meetings.
  • Manage field visit schedules, service delivery, team coordination, and resolve issues.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Programme Manager.
  • Monitor all project activities with students, parents, and communities.
  • Manage project data, documentation, and provide analytical inputs for improvement.
  • Build data management capacity of field teams.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports; provide field data for programme reports.
  • Maintain records of referrals and field documentation; manage district finances and related records.
  • Oversee project-related social media activities at the local level.
  • Travel ~20 days per month; travel logistics provided under the project.

Job description

  • Supervise community mapping linkedto project schools and facilitate community awareness meetings.
  • Manage field visit schedules, oversee service delivery, handle team coordination, and resolve operationalissues as they arise.
  • Carry out any additional tasksassigned by the Programme Manager.

Data Management

  • Supervise and monitor all projectactivities including sessions with students, parents, and communities.
  • Manage project data, ensureaccurate documentation, and provide analytical inputs for programmeimprovement.
  • Build the data management capacityof field team members.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare and submit weekly andmonthly reports (quantitative and narrative) to the Programme Manager.

  • Manage project finances andfinancial documentation at the district level.
  • Oversee project-related social media activitiesat the local level.
Travel
  • The role requires approximately 20days of field travel per month. Travel and logistics support will be providedunder the project.

We provide comprehensive services acrossprevention, care, support, and treatment, particularly for those affected byHIV and other infectious diseases. YRGMERF, in partnership with Sanofi, is implementing the KiDS (Kids andDiabetes in Schools) programme among government school students aged 10–15years in Uttar Pradesh. The programme builds diabetes awareness and preventionliteracy through teacher training, student engagement, community outreach, andsocial media. The internationally validated KiDS manual, adapted into the locallanguage, is used as the core training resource, with qualifiedendocrinologists serving as master trainers.

The first two phases of the programme, launched in 2024, have yieldeddocumented outcomes. The current phase involves expansion to 17 districtsacross UP, including aspirational districts and those requiring refreshertraining.

Qualifications &Skills

  • Post-graduation in SocialSciences, Statistics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience inmanaging development, health, or nutrition programmes at the district or statelevel.
  • Demonstrated experience in teammanagement and handling complex field situations.
  • Strong documentation, reportwriting, and data presentation skills (MS Excel and PowerPoint are essential).
  • Working knowledge of theeducation department system in UP is required.
  • Strong written and oralcommunication skills in Hindi and English. Liaison and negotiation abilitiesare essential.
  • Self-motivated, with the abilityto work independently with minimal supervision
