YRGMERFis anticipating a project to strengthen the Urban Ecosystem Against FutureDisease Threats by implementing a framework for urban-peri-urban coordination.This project if commissioned will require a team of below positions to supportthe coordination, implementation and monitoring of several components.
KeyResponsibilities of City Coordination Officer
TheCity Coordination Officer will be responsible for implementation of the projectactivities in coordination with stakeholders. Will report to City Coordinatorbased in Hyderabad. Will work closely with other team members.
ProjectImplementation Support
- Rapid mapping of environmentalrisks and peri-urban jurisdictional "grey zones" to prepare acomprehensive baseline of current surveillance system and activities, role ofvarious stakeholders.
- Will be responsible to support One Health Activitiesin high priority wards and grey zones in peri-urban areas of the selectedmunicipal corporations.
- Supportsin conducting a needs assessment for targeted upskilling sessions forhealthcare providers on IHIP reporting, outbreak investigation, and response.
- Support implementation of private sector mapping toimprove IHIP reporting, participation in outbreak response activities.
- Supports in implementation of rumour sentinelactivities by identifying them, skilling them to address such issues under theguidance of MSU and MSVC
- Works closely with other department staff to ensurethat there is coordinated response during any outbreak in the priority wardsand selected peri-urban areas.
- Supports implementation of IHIP reporting acrossother clinics managed in the urban areas in addition to UPHCs in these selectedcorporations.
- Supports implementation of engagement of RWAs in theselected geographies so that they participate in mock drills, community IHIPreporting.
- Ensures that all project activities comply withYRGMERF’s organisational policies on ethics, safeguarding, data protection, andfinancial management
Reportingand Documentation
- Ensures that the IHIP reported events arecoordinated well with other department, the feedback closure loop is updatedwith MSU in specific geographies.
- Works closely with other departments to ensure thatthe JRRT activities are updated with MSU
- Ensuresthat best practices are documented and shared with the Program Associate.
AdditionalDuties
- Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by thesupervisor in support of project objectives.
Requirements
- Good understanding of the work related to disease surveillance,One Health Activities
- Ability to learn fast and work with senior andexperienced subject experts
- Knowledge of latest tools for designing casestudies, testimonial videos, other AV products
- Understanding of Telangana Health Systems is must
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team andmanage time for multiple tasks
Qualificationsand Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in urban health, urbanlivelihood program
- Very good understanding of role of variousstakeholders in a corporation is critical for this position
- Experience managing stakeholders for communityengagement, implementation of health activities is essential
- Must be fluent in Telugu language
- Owntwo-wheeler with valid driving licence is strongly preferred.
