Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (Rahuri) invites applications for a Young Professional-I in Agronomy or Soil & Water Conservation Engineering to support climate-resilient agriculture research and on-ground water- and soil-conservation interventions that strengthen drought resilience of smallholder farms in Maharashtra.

The role emphasizes field research, data collection, coordination with district agriculture officials and farmers, and preparing progress reports for the PMU/university.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. (Agriculture) in Agronomy or M.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) in Soil & Water Conservation Engineering required.
• Willingness to undertake field work and travel to project sites.
• Strong data collection, monitoring and reporting capabilities.

Under the World Bank-aided Nanaji Deshmukh Krushi Sanjivani Prakalp (PoCRA), Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (Rahuri) is engaging a Young Professional-I in Agronomy or Soil & Water Conservation Engineering to support climate-resilient agriculture research and on-ground water- and soil-conservation interventions that strengthen the drought resilience of smallholder farms in Maharashtra.

Responsibilities

Research & Field Support

• 1. Support agronomy or soil-and-water-conservation-engineering interventions under the project.
• 2. Collect and manage field data; assist in planning and monitoring watershed and water-conservation activities.

Requirements
