Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Field Sampling & Supervision
- Supervise and execute soil and pore water sampling following approved methodologies stratified
- Ensure correct sampling depth, labeling, preservation, GPS tagging, chain‑of‑custody in line with ERWMRV protocols.
- Support installation and maintenance of porewater sampling systems where applicable.
- Monitor field activities related to basalt application and site conditions.
Training & Field Coordination
- Travel extensively to project sites to support ongoing field operations.
- Train and supervise field teams on sampling protocols, documentation, and safety procedures.
- Conduct routine field checks to ensure SOP compliance and data consistency.
Data Management & Documentation
- Record, organize, and validate field and laboratory data using Google sheets, MS Excel and MS Word.
- Maintain accurate sample tracking records, metadata, and documentation for audit readiness.
- Support technical summaries and reporting for internal review.
- Support farmer onboarding, plot identification, and consent documentation.
- Act as the field‑level point of contact for farmers and local stakeholders.
- Execute additional tasks as communicated by the project management and science teams.
Qualifications
- We are looking to hire someone with a strong background in Agriculture, who has a knack for Soil Science.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Soil Science, Agronomy, Environmental Science, Chemistry , or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of soil analysis procedures and laboratory protocols.
- Willingness to travel extensively across states for training and operational support.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- The person must be skilled at effective communication and should possess the zeal to learn.
