Job summary

RGP in India is seeking an experienced Workday Integration specialist to lead the end‑to‑end design, development, testing and deployment of integrations across Financials and related modules. You will build integrations using Core/Cloud Connectors, EIB, PECI, Workday Studio, Orchestrate, and Web Services, collaborating with Finance and IT to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Finance or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on Workday integration development experience.
• Experience with Core Connectors, Cloud Connectors, EIB, PECI, Workday Studio, Orchestrate, SOAP/WSDL and REST APIs.
• Workday integration certifications preferred.
• Experience in Financials and HCM Payroll integration is a plus.

Job description

• Leads the design, development, testing, and deployment of Workday integrations across Financial functional areas.
• Builds and maintains integrations using the full spectrum of Workday integration technologies, including Core Connectors, Cloud Connectors, EIB, PECI, Workday Studio, Orchestrate, Workday Web Services (SOAP), and REST APIs.
• Collaborates with Finance, IT and other stakeholders to capture and document integration requirements, translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Leads integration architecture and solution design discussions, recommending the appropriate integration framework and tooling for each use case.
• Carries out system administration activities related to integrations – monitoring, scheduling, error handling, fault finding, troubleshooting, and resolution.
• Identifies, validates, and tests integration changes related to business process changes, Workday releases, or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensures integrations comply with internal controls, audit requirements, data security standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Develops and maintains integration documentation including design specifications, data mappings, and operational runbooks.
• Performs audits of integration data flows and recommends steps to improve data quality and reliability.
• Ensures open communication and alignment across all Financial and HCM functional areas on integration dependencies and impacts.
• Serves as a subject matter expert on current and upcoming Workday integration capabilities and platform changes.
• Uses Workday Community to stay current on integration best practices, new features, and upcoming release changes.
• Partners with third-party vendors and internal teams to support end-to-end integration delivery and issue resolution.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing integrations within Workday, with a primary focus on Workday Financials but a strong preference for integration experience supporting the HCM and Payroll functional areas well.
• Demonstrated experience building all major Workday integration types: Core Connectors, Cloud Connectors, EIB (inbound and outbound), PECI, Workday Studio, Workday Web Services (SOAP/WSDL), and REST APIs.
• Proficiency in Workday Studio and Orchestrate, including the development of complex, multi-step integration workflows.
• Experience with Workday Financial functional areas (e.g., Core Financials, Procurement, Expenses, Revenue Management, Projects) to inform integration design and data mapping.
• HCM integration experience (e.g., Payroll, Benefits, Talent, Time Tracking) is a strong preference.
• Workday integration certification(s) preferred.
• Participation in at least one full lifecycle Workday implementation involving integration development preferred.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns, data transformation, and middleware concepts.
• Experience working with XML, XSLT, JSON, and web services standards.
• Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with Finance, HR, and IT stakeholders.
