Job summary

GIT is seeking a Workday Integration Developer / Consultant to design, build, test, and deploy complex data integrations between Workday and external systems such as payroll, benefits, CRM, and data warehouses.

You will lead end-to-end integration projects using Workday Studio, EIBs, CCW/CCB, WWS, REST, SOAP, and GraphQL, ensuring secure data transfer, robust testing across SIT/UAT, and smooth migrations across environments.

Job Summary

The Workday Integration Developer / Consultant is responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying complex data integrations between Workday and external third-party systems. In this highly technical role, you will act as the principal architect for data movement, ensuring seamless synchronisation between Workday (HCM, Financials, and PSA) and downstream applications like payroll vendors, benefits providers, CRM tools, and enterprise data warehouses.

Key Responsibilities

• Custom Development: Design, build, and deploy end-to-end integrations using the full Workday technical stack, including Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs), and Core Connectors (CCW, CCB).
• API Management: Develop and maintain secure real-time data exchanges using Workday Web Services (WWS), REST APIs, SOAP, and GraphQL.
• Data Transformation: Write complex data transformations using XSLT, XML, XPath, and MVEL expressions to format data according to external system requirements.
• Security & Authentication: Implement secure file transfer protocols (SFTP, AS2) and data encryption standards (PGP) while configuring Integration System User (ISU) and Integration System Security Group (ISSG) permissions.
• Full-Cycle Testing: Lead integration testing phases, including Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), documenting all integration mappings and test scripts.
• Lifecycle Management: Manage code migrations across environments using Workday Customer Central or Object Transporter (OX).
• Custom Reporting: Build complex Advanced and Matrix Reports specifically designed to serve as data sources for outbound EIBs and RAAS (Report-as-a-Service) integrations.
• Triage & Operations: Monitor integration event logs, debug runtime errors, optimize performance for large data payloads, and manage regression testing during bi-annual Workday version upgrades.

Technical & Professional Requirements

• Workday Certifications: Active or recent Workday certification in Workday Integrations, Workday Studio, or Advanced Integrations is highly preferred.
• Technical Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience developing enterprise-grade integrations within the Workday ecosystem.
• Development Toolkit: Proficient in XSLT/XML programming, Web Services (SOAP, WSDL, REST), and the Workday Studio Eclipse IDE development environment.
• Problem Solving: Exceptional ability to translate business process functional specifications into rigid, error-tolerant technical code.
• Strong understanding of Workday integrations across multiple modules
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
