Job summary

IFF is hiring a Senior Workday Developer, Techno-Functional Lead, and Solution Architect to lead Workday implementations. Based in Chennai, this hybrid role requires designing, developing, and supporting Workday solutions across multiple modules and integration points.

The role emphasizes architecture leadership, advanced reporting, and secure integrations, with a focus on HCM processes and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of enterprise app/HR tech experience, with hands-on Workday implementation and support.
• Strong hands-on Workday development experience with Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, APIs, RaaS, XML, XSLT.
• Solid understanding of Workday HCM business processes, data model, security, reporting, and integration architecture.
• Experience designing integrations between Workday and external systems.
• Proven ability to work in SDLC/Agile, with change and release management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical architecture, design, development, configuration, testing and deployment of Workday solutions.
• Provide techno-functional expertise across Workday modules including Core HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Talent/Performance.
• Design and develop Advanced Reports, Matrix/Composite Reports, Calculated Fields and RaaS reports.
• Develop and support Workday integrations using Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, REST/SOAP APIs, XML/XSLT, and SFTP/file-based methods.
• Conduct design and code reviews and establish development standards, logging and deployment practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable and compliant Workday environments.

Where You'll Make a Difference

Serve as a Senior Workday Developer, Techno-Functional Lead, and Solution Architect for Workday implementations.

Lead the technical architecture, solution design, development, configuration, testing, deployment, and support of Workday solutions.

Provide techno-functional expertise across Workday modules including Core HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Talent/Performance, and related functionality.

Design, develop, enhance, and support Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Workday Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs, RaaS, XML/XSLT, and SFTP/file-based integration solutions.

Configure and support Workday Business Processes, condition rules, validations, approvals, notifications, calculated fields, custom objects, security, and related configurations.

Design and develop Advanced Reports, Matrix Reports, Composite Reports, Calculated Fields, RaaS reports, dashboards, and BIRT reports as required.

Conduct technical design reviews and code reviews for Workday developers and implementation partners.

Establish development standards, naming conventions, error-handling patterns, logging, monitoring, documentation, and deployment practices.

What Makes You the Right Fit

• Minimum 8+ years of enterprise application/HR technology experience, with significant hands-on experience implementing and supporting Workday.
• Strong hands-on Workday development experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs, RaaS, XML, and XSLT.
• Strong understanding of Workday HCM business processes, data model, security framework, reporting, and integration architecture.
• Experience supporting multiple Workday functional areas such as HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Compensation, Time Tracking, Absence, and Talent.
• Experience designing complex integrations between Workday and external enterprise systems.
• Strong experience with Advanced Reports, Calculated Fields, custom reports, and integration troubleshooting.
• Experience with Workday security including Domain Security, Business Process Security, security groups, and Integration System Users.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, change management, testing, release management, and production support.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

How Would You Stand Out?

• Workday certifications in relevant Integration, HCM, Reporting, Security, or functional areas are highly preferred.
• Experience with Workday Extend and Workday Orchestrate is desirable.
• Experience integrating Workday through enterprise integration platforms or middleware is preferred.
• Experience with enterprise API management, event-driven integrations, cloud platforms, and modern integration architecture is a plus.
