Job summary

Agilysis is seeking a Workday Extend developer to join our growing team and build next-generation applications on the Workday platform. You will partner with clients to translate business requirements into Extend solutions, lead design and development across engagements, and provide technical guidance to teams.

The role requires hands-on Extend development, strong knowledge of Workday Web Services and REST APIs, and collaboration with functional consultants and stakeholders to deliver scalable,

Qualifications

• 6+ years of technical development experience with at least 3+ years hands-on in Workday Extend.
• Hands-on experience developing applications using Workday Extend.
• Strong knowledge of Workday Web Services, REST APIs and Orchestration.
• Experience with Workday modules such as HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Talent, Recruiting, or Financials.
• Understanding of business process framework, calculated fields, custom reports, and security configurations.
• Experience integrating Workday with third-party platforms and enterprise applications.
• Prior consulting experience supporting multiple clients and projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Workday Extend Certification is a big plus but not mandatory.

• Partner closely with clients to understand business requirements, challenges, and opportunities, translating them into innovative solutions using Workday Extend.
• Lead the planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and support of Workday Extend applications across multiple client engagements.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for Workday Extend, providing technical leadership and best-practice guidance to clients and internal teams.
• Design and develop scalable, user-friendly applications that enhance and extend Workday functionality to meet client-specific business needs.
• Support and maintain existing Workday Extend applications by troubleshooting issues, implementing enhancements, and delivering new functionality.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to define solution approaches and ensure successful project delivery.
• Drive solution design discussions and provide recommendations aligned with Workday platform capabilities, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
• Perform technical analysis, solution estimation, and development planning to support project execution and client success.
• Participate in testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and technical improvements that deliver measurable business value.
• Stay current with Workday product innovations, Extend platform enhancements, and industry trends to continuously improve solution offerings.
• Contribute to proposal development, solution demonstrations, and pre-sales activities by providing technical expertise and effort estimates.
• Foster strong client relationships through effective communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management.
• Work collaboratively across consulting, functional, and technical teams to deliver successful outcomes and take ownership of project results.
• Mentor team members and share Workday Extend knowledge to help build organizational capability and technical excellence.
• Embody company values and maintain a client-centric mindset in all interactions and project activities.
