Luxoft in Pune is looking for a senior Workday Extend developer to design, build, integrate, and support custom Extend applications. You will work with PMD scripting, WQL, RaaS, and REST/SOAP APIs, configuring security, business processes, and lifecycle management.

Strong collaboration with functional teams is essential. You will deliver responsive interfaces using Widgets, configure Page Flows, and ensure scalable, user-friendly Extend solutions across integrations with Workday and external

Project description

The project focuses on the design, development, integration, and support of custom Workday applications using Workday Extend. The scope includes building scalable and user-friendly applications, developing integrations using Workday APIs, WQL, RaaS, REST/SOAP and Orchestration Services, and configuring business processes, security, and application lifecycle components.The team will work closely with HPE functional and technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into Workday Extend solutions, covering UI and Page Flows, PMD scripting, integrations, reporting, security configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing application support

Responsibilities

• 5–8+ years of experience in Workday development, integrations, and application development with strong hands‑on experience in design, development, configuration, deployment and support of custom applications using the Workday Extend platform.Strong technical expertise in Workday Extend, PMD scripting, Orchestration Services, UI components, Page Flows, Workday APIs, WQL, RaaS, business processes, security, and application lifecycle management.The candidate should be comfortable working with functional and technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable and user‑friendly Workday Extend applications.Perform Workday Extend platform management, including application configuration, deployment, security, and lifecycle activities.Develop application logic using PMD scripting and implement appropriate validation, transformation, and business logic.Design and configure Orchestration Services to support application and integration requirements.Work with Orchestration for Integrations (O4I) where applicable.Develop responsive and user‑friendly application interfaces using Widgets and UI Components.Design and configure Page Flows to provide intuitive end‑user experiences and streamlined business processes.Configure and consume inbound and outbound endpoints for communication between Workday Extend applications, Workday, and external systems.Work with various Workday Extend Model Components and application data models.Develop and optimize data queries using Workday Query Language (WQL).Work with Report‑as‑a‑Service (RaaS) and custom reports to expose and consume Workday data.Develop and consume REST and SOAP APIs for Workday and third‑party integrations.Configure and leverage Workday Business Processes within Extend applications.Create and maintain custom Workday reports, calculated fields, and supporting reporting components as required.Perform App Manager configurations, including application setup, security, and deployment‑related configurations.Configure and manage Integration System Users (ISUs) and Integration System Security Groups (ISSGs) while following Workday security best practices.Perform application debugging, root‑cause analysis, and technical troubleshooting across Extend applications and integrations.Ensure applications follow Workday development standards, security requirements, and best practices.
