Job summary

Siemens India in Panaji invites a diploma engineer to join its vacuum interrupter assembly team. The role focuses on assembly, testing, packing, and maintaining safety and quality in a high-precision environment.

You will participate in daily production planning, achieve targets, and contribute to 5S practices while adhering to environmental, health, and safety norms. One year experience in vacuum interrupter assembly is preferred; training will be provided for process improvements and ERP data

Qualifications

• Education & experience: Diploma in any branch of engineering.
• One year experience in Vacuum interrupter assembly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Clean Room, Furnace, Utilities as per process.
• Assemble, test and pack Vacuum interrupters.
• Ensure quality output across manufacturing stages.
• Meet daily/weekly/monthly manufacturing targets.
• Maintain 5S and documentation for processes.

Key Responsibilities in details

• Ensure safe working environment in all areas of responsibility by taking all necessary measures.
• Ensure compliance to all Legal norms in all areas of responsibility.
• Ensure compliance to all Environmental norms in all areas of responsibility.
• Maintain Healthiness of all areas of responsibility by ensuring daily maintenance.
• Maintain healthiness of all assets required to carry out manufacturing and related operations.
• Maintain 5S in all areas of responsibility.
• Ensure safe operations in all areas of responsibilities.
• Participate in trainings related to Assembly, Testing and Packing and implement the lessons learnt.
• Train / participate in trainings related to Safe and proper Material Handling and Storage process.
• Train / participate in regular refresher trainings on defined frequency.
• Coordinate with Production Planning to pull monthly, weekly and daily production sequence.
• Participate in daily morning meetings with team to know the information related to production sequence.
• Carry out Assembly, Testing and Packing activities as defined in WI, DOP etc.
• Ensure adherence to quality at all stages of manufacturing.
• Fulfil daily, weekly and monthly Manufacturing targets within specified lead times and cost.
• Keep a track of consumables consumption and update system on regular basis.
• Coordinate with quality team to resolve any quality issues to ensure quality output.
• In Case of Rejections / Losses, update the same in Mtool / SAP with a proper RCA.
• Participate in quality circle for finding solutions to problems encountered during manufacturing.
• Prepare weekly, monthly MIS report for review by management.
• Participate in monthly EHS round to check out for any unsafe area or act and carry out improvements
• Participate in audits conducted by internal and external teams / agencies.
• Close any observations of Audit by coordinating with proper internal teams.
• Carry out extra duties allocated as a part of Teams such as Emergency Response Team, First Aid Team, Fire Team and Quality Circles etc.
• Prepare and regularly update/maintain the documents related to areas of responsibility i.e PD, WI,DOP,HIRA, Chemical Release Document etc
• Ensure correct transactions in system at every stage of manufacturing.
• Calculate yearly, monthly, weekly, daily requirement of Consumables and provide forecast to Logistics procurement for on time procurement of the same.
• Prevent Wastage of all sorts of resources at all stages of Manufacturing.
• Ensure safety of self and other Team members on continuous basis.
• Support Maintenance Team for maintenance activities during Yearly maintenance week.
• Support and carry activities of colleague for whom you are designated as substitute during his absence or leave.
• Perform any other task not mentioned above but allocated by HOD.

• Education & experience : Diploma in any branch of engineering
• One year experience in Vacuum interrupter assembly
