Job summary

Nians is seeking a WordPress & PHP Developer for 6 months to 1 year to build and optimize custom WordPress sites and PHP applications tailored to business needs.

The role covers theme/plugin development, API integration, performance hardening, and collaboration with design and PM teams to deliver responsive, pixel-perfect front-end experiences.

Qualifications

• Upto 1 year of experience in WordPress development.
• Core languages: PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, MySQL.
• CMS Expertise: WordPress Core, Custom Themes, Plugins, ACF.
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and responsive design principles
• Working knowledge of hosting environments like cPanel, FTP, or local dev tools (XAMPP, Local WP, etc.).
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and team-oriented.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
• Willingness to explore and adapt to new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom WordPress themes and templates from scratch using PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Create and manage custom post types, taxonomies, and ACF-based page builders.
• Design and develop custom plugins or extend existing ones using action/filter hooks.
• Build reusable and efficient PHP functions and modules.
• Handle WordPress site setup, configuration, migration, and deployment.
• Perform performance tuning, security hardening, and SEO optimization.
• Debug and fix bugs, compatibility issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Work with third-party APIs (e.g., RESTful services, CRMs, payment gateways).
• Collaborate with designers, UI/UX teams, and project managers for delivering responsive, pixel-perfect front-end designs.
• Keep codebases versioned (Git), documented, and up-to-date with best practices.
