We are seeking a skilled and experienced WordPress Developer with a strong background in PHP and at least 2 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including hands‑on custom design, creating custom WordPress themes and plugins, as well as maintaining and optimising existing websites. You will be a key member of our team, collaborating with designers and other developers to translate design concepts into robust, secure, and high‑performing websites.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with our design team to implement custom design mockups into functional, responsive, and visually appealing websites.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex website issues, including debugging code and fixing performance problems.
• Ensure websites are optimised for maximum speed, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless integration of front‑end and back‑end components.
• Implement and manage WordPress security best practices to protect against vulnerabilities.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends, best practices, and new technologies in WordPress and web development.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional, hands‑on experience in WordPress development.
• Strong proficiency in PHP and a solid understanding of object‑oriented programming (OOP) principles.
• Proven experience in custom WordPress theme and plugin development.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• In‑depth knowledge of the WordPress core and its APIs.
