Job summary

Jobtailor in India seeks an experienced network consultant to provide pre- and post-sales design and consulting for Aruba-HPE customers. You will manage the full customer services lifecycle, from planning to optimization, and create detailed design documents and migration procedures.

The role requires travel for client reviews and training. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in customer-facing consulting with Aruba products, strong VoIP knowledge, and certifications.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience supporting Aruba products and customers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in customer-facing consulting and design.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience with Aruba products: IAPs/Controllers, Airwave, ClearPass, Central, Aruba switches.
  • Knowledge of authentication protocols and servers required.
  • Understanding and experience configuring and troubleshooting VoIP protocols such as SIP, SVP, and H323 required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre- and post-sales design and consulting services for Aruba-HPE teams and customers.
  • Deliver the full customer services lifecycle: planning, design, implementation, migration, optimization.
  • Create customer requirement documents and business outcome plans.
  • Create design documents based on customer requirements (high and low level).
  • Prepare network implementation and installation plans.
  • Prepare migration procedures and validation checks.
  • Improve network operations, uptime, and security conformance.
  • Formulate action plans to analyze and resolve issues.
  • Simulate customer designs in a lab.
  • Contribute to solution development and knowledge-base publications.
  • Collaborate with Aruba, customers, QA, engineering, and field teams.
  • Conduct quarterly customer review meetings with status and recommendations.
  • Travel to customer sites for consulting, training, and business reviews.

Job description

  • Provide pre- and post-sales design and consulting services to Aruba-HPE teams, customers, and partners
  • Deliver the complete customer services lifecycle: planning, design, implementation, migration, and optimization
  • Create customer requirement documents and business outcome plans
  • Create high-level and low-level design documents based on customer requirements
  • Prepare network implementation and network-ready-for-use installation plans
  • Prepare migration procedures and validation checks
  • Continuously improve network operations, uptime, and security conformance
  • Formulate technical and operational action plans to analyze and resolve reported issues
  • Simulate customer designs in a lab
  • Participate in solution development and knowledge-base publications
  • Collaborate with Aruba, customer, QA, engineering, and field organization colleagues
  • Conduct quarterly customer review meetings with technical status and recommendations
  • Travel to customer sites for consulting, training, and business reviews
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience supporting Aruba Products and Customers
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering required
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in customer-facing consulting and design required
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience with one or more Aruba products: IAPs/Controllers, Airwave, ClearPass, Central, Aruba switches
  • Knowledge of authentication protocols and servers required
  • Understanding and experience configuring and troubleshooting VoIP protocols such as SIP, SVP, and H323 required
  • Demonstrable experience identifying areas of opportunity for process improvement
  • Demonstrable experience in customer network design and implementation
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with little supervision or direction
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interface with senior levels of customer organizations
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites for consulting and training purposes and business reviews
  • Advanced expertise in network switching, routing, and security highly desired
  • Industry certifications such as CCIE, CWNA, ACCP, ACMP, ACMX, ACDX, and RHEL preferred
  • Routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, and MSTP
  • Datacentre design experience preferred
  • Radius, SNMP/AMON, Linux, TACACS, PKI, Captive Portal, web programming, cloud technologies, 802.1x, Network Device AAA, Policy Enforcement, Windows Sysadmin, LDAP, SQL/Postgres, APIs/Python, VPN, NAC, DNS, DHCP, load-balancing, L2/L3 protocols, and wireless concepts

Demonstrates expertise in customer network design, implementation, and optimization, with a strong focus on Aruba products and solutions. Proficient in creating technical documentation and delivering consulting services while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
