Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Chennai is hiring for a Windows VMware admin role. You will manage Windows Server environments across multiple versions, perform proactive issue identification, and handle VMware ESXi/vCenter deployments with RCA, performance tuning, and DR/HA awareness.

Exposure to monitoring tools like Checkmk and HP OMI is expected, along with hands-on CLI for ESXi and coordinating with hardware vendors for server platforms such as Dell and HPE.

Qualifications

• In depth knowledge in Windows Server 2012R2, 2016, 2019 and 2022
• Identify issues in Windows environment proactively.
• Troubleshooting and break-fix of issues in Windows
• Health check of Windows environment
• Hands knowledge on Windows Failover Cluster environment
• Exposure to monitoring tools like Checkmk, HP OMI etc..
• Configuring and troubleshooting server hardware(Dell R640, R740, Dell M1000 Chassis and MX740blades HPE DL360Gen 10, C7000 chassis, DL460C Gen10 and coordinating with vendors.
• Install, configure and maintain VMware ESXi & vCenter servers of version 7.0
• Troubleshooting and RCA of VMware infrastructure.
• Performance analysis and tuning of VMware infrastructure.
• Creation, migration, cloning, snapshots, backup, recovery and troubleshooting of Virtual machines
• Experience in P2V, vMotion and VMware virtual center.
• hands on command line of ESXi.
• hands on Experience in diagnostics & troubleshooting of ESXi server environment.
• understanding of HA and DRS environment.
