Job summary

Mensa Consulting seeks an experienced VMware administrator in Thane to manage installation, configuration and day-to-day operations of ESXi, vCenter and related components. You will monitor performance, handle migrations with VMotion, manage HA/DRS clusters, patching, capacity planning and maintenance of storage/network configurations.

The role requires 4+ years of hands-on VMware experience, strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to coordinate with VMware for Sev-1 incidents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of experience as a VMware admin.
• Experience in installation, configuration and administration of ESXi VMware vCenter, Vrops.
• Administration and troubleshooting of vSphere components.
• Monitoring of Virtual Machines and ESXi servers (CPU, Memory, Disk and Network utilization).
• Configuration and management of HA, DRS clusters and fault tolerance.
• Capacity planning of existing virtual infrastructure.
• Migration of Virtual Machines using VMotion and Storage VMotion.
• Patching VM and virtualized infra as per security requirements.
• Esxi/vCenter upgrade management.
• Log calls and coordinate with VMware for Sev-1 cases.
• Creation of Virtual Switches, Ports and Port groups (Management Network, VMkernel for VMotion & VM).
• Networking: - vSwitch, VMkernel, Vmnic, VDS.
• Creating templates from VMs, deploy VMs from templates and allocate resources.
• Storage configuration: - iSCSI, SAN, NFS and VSAN.
• Analysis of VMware logs to understand and isolate the issue.
• Identifying and troubleshooting alerts and events in vSphere.
• VMware Update Manager.
• Configured Resource Pool, vMotion, Alerts, Alarms, NTP.
• Performance analysis and system performance.
• Installing, configuring and managing physical and virtual servers.
• Good understanding of DNS, network tools, storage technologies, load balancers and other infra components.

JD for Vmware.Min 4+ years of experience as a vmware admin

• Should be able to manage the Esxi / vCenter upgrade .
• Log call and coordinate with Vmware for severity 1 cases.
• Creation of Virtual Switches, Ports and Port groups (Management Network,VMkernel for VMotion& Virtual Machine).
